Base pricing for carving the body of a guitar (yours or mine), can vary depending on complexity of the design, but usually start around $1,300 US Dollars.  

• Additional costs might include:

                 1.) The cost of the guitar itself   
                 2.) Removing hardware and disassemble
                 3.) Removing the existing finish (New or used) 

                 4.)If it's a used guitar body, 

                     repairing (as best as possible), any   

                      existing body damage.  

• Additional costs might include:
  1.) Removing hardware and disassemble
  2.) Removing the existing finish (If we use an existing guitar)
  3.) Repairing (as best as possible), any existing damage if  needed

We will work together with you on the design by discussing details on the phone and through personal email until we come up with exactly what you want your custom carved guitar to look like.  This is the FUN part.  Note: I am happy to make a few minor design changes, but obviously once the carving has begun, no further changes are possible.

        NOTE: The focus is on the carving of the images on the guitar body. We will 

  use the  original stock electronics, hardware and neck. 

Add on items such as:

• Hardware, pickups or electronics
• Glass Eyes 
• Introduction of any newly added items, such as special effects, electronics, sustainers, controls etc.
•  Reassembly of any original disassembled items, hardware,  electronics
• Finishing - Staining, light paint/accent airbrushing/clear coating
•  Carving Headstock and finishing of the same
  
   

          
Average total cost for a guitar in this category is usually around $2,200 - $2,500 US Dollars when completed.

Guitars must be solid wood.  Any guitar with a cover laminate, made out of plywood or simulated wood-like material such as composites cannot be carved.
